Silica from Rice Husk: Value Addition to Agro-wastes

Abstract

Sri Lanka rice cultivation occupies 34 percent of the total cultivation area and produces about 1.5 to 3 million metric tons per year depending on the weather condition according to the data from rice research and development institute and the department of census and statistics in Sri Lanka.
